Throw away the typewriter! (For pre-printed forms)

February 19th, 2012

Do you still use a typewriter to fill out pre-printed forms? (For anyone who doesn’t, you’d be surprised how many people have to do this for legal reasons).

But, you can throw away the typewriter and do it all online!

Just upload your form, and with FillAnyPdf you can instantly type on it.

When you print, just check the box “print content only” and only your typing will print, and not the form underneath.

Best of all you have a lot of tools available that you don’t have on a typewriter – you can pick your font color, size, and font type. You can insert checkmarks to check boxes, and a lot more!

So, the next time you have to type on a pre-printed form – give FillAnyPdf.com a try!

When you don’t have any fields

February 3rd, 2012

One of the times FillAnyPdf is most useful, is when someone gives you a form to fill out, but it doesn’t have any interactive “fields” on it.

To add these fields, someone would have to buy Acrobat (or something similar) and spend the time to learn how to add fields, and then go through the form to add all the fields and name them.

Using a job application as an example, it might have 150 fields.  That explains why you might get a job application without any fields on it.  Instead of adding 150 fields, the HR Manager would just ask you to print it, fill it out by hand, and fax it back to them.

However, with FillAnyPdf.com, you can upload the application (without fields) and immediately start typing on it.  The typing looks very neat, you can carefully position it, select fonts and font sizes.  You can also sign it online.

Best of all, the HR Manager didn’t even need to add the fields, because you didn’t need them anyway.  If you can figure out where to write your name, you can also figure out where to type your name.  So everyone wins.

After you sign it, you can email it back to them, all without printing a piece of paper, which saves time, and gets your job application back to them quickly.  Maybe you’ll even impress them with how fast you got the application back to them…

When you can’t attach a PDF Form

February 2nd, 2012

Sometimes, you have a paper form that you need filled out but you can’t send it as an attachment.   For example, email service providers that send marketing emails to your customers will not let you add attachments.

But, our FillAnyPdf customers have found an easy and creative solution for that.

1) Just scan whatever paper for you have, upload the image to FillAnyPdf, and your form is ready to use.

2) Click “link” to get a link to the form

3) Paste that link into your email.

Everyone who receives the email can click the link and will be taken to a form that they can fill out and AND SIGN!

It’s an easy way to send forms with your emails when you can’t include an attachment.

Of course, if you sent an attachment, people have to print it, write on it, scan it back in, and email it to you.  You’ll get more forms returned (and faster) by doing it all online with FillAnyPdf.com.

Great Application: Filling out Worksheets

February 1st, 2012

One of my favorite, but unexpected, applications of FillAnyPdf is filling out worksheets for homework assignments.

Since the form doesn’t need to be “interactive” or be prepared by Adobe Acrobat, they can use any worksheet they have, even if it is just a scanned image, exactly as it is.

It works like this:

  • The teacher uploads the worksheet and enters the student’s email addresses
  • The students receive links to fill out the worksheet
  • The teacher can see who has completed the assignment and who has not
  • The teacher can then grade the assignment and return it back to the student

Best of all, this can be done without printing paper or scanning documents.  All the assignments are then saved and organized on the FillAnyPdf website or the teacher can download them to their own computer.

If you have another interesting use for FillAnyPdf.com, please write and let us know about it!

New Features to Collect E-Signatures

September 6th, 2011

We’ve just added a few features to make it easier to collect electronic signatures and data.

The page “Published Links” keeps track of the links you put on other sites that open your own forms.

The page “Emailed Links” keeps track of who you have asked to fill out forms.

And the page “Manage Drafts” saves a draft of all of your forms that you or someone else fills out. That way if you accidentally close the browser or leave the site before finishing, your work is not lost. You can open the draft and pick up right where you left off.

We’re always working on improving the site, so be sure let us know what you think about the new features.

February 27th, 2011

As more people start to use tablets, we are glad to find that FillAnyPdf.com works great on the Samsung Galaxy tablet. You can type, as usual, but also draw and write with your finger on the page. This makes it possible to actually write your signature directly on a document. If you have a Galaxy tablet be sure to give it a try!
