New Features to Collect E-Signatures

September 6th, 2011

We’ve just added a few features to make it easier to collect electronic signatures and data.

The page “Published Links” keeps track of the links you put on other sites that open your own forms.

The page “Emailed Links” keeps track of who you have asked to fill out forms.

And the page “Manage Drafts” saves a draft of all of your forms that you or someone else fills out. That way if you accidentally close the browser or leave the site before finishing, your work is not lost. You can open the draft and pick up right where you left off.

We’re always working on improving the site, so be sure let us know what you think about the new features.

New Features: Links and Comments

December 7th, 2010

We’re glad to announce that we just added new features for filling out forms. You can now insert links (hyperlinks) and comments. Comments can be kept closed to view the document, or expanded to read the entire comment.

To insert a link, just open a form, click the link button, and click where you want to put the link on the page. You can then right-click and edit the text displayed and the url that the link goes to.

To insert a comment, just click the comment button, click on the form where you want to insert the comment, and type in the box. If you right-click then you will be able to edit the expanded text as well.

These features were based on feedback we received from users, so feel free to send us a suggestion any time!

Great New Features

September 10th, 2010

We have just added some great new features to the site…

  • Data Export: You can now export all the data entered into your forms. Just go to Forms > Export and select your form. All the data everyone entered into those forms will be exported into a spreadsheet. Each location on the page is mapped to a column, so even if you didn’t add interactive text fields, you can still export form data to columns. If you usually have to take the data someone entered on a form and manually re-type it, this will save a lot of time….
  • Improved Save Function: The old “Save & Return” button has been separated into a “Save” button and a “Return” button. This is more intuitive and makes it easier to save all the data. The autosave function is improved as well, and saves more frequently.
  • Form notification email: When you receive an email letting you know someone filled out a form, it now includes the name of the form, who filled it out, and when.
  • Editing Filled Forms: Several changes have been made to improve the way you can edit filled forms. Beginning with forms created today, you can open a filled form and edit or change the typing in the form. So, if there is text on the page you can come back in the future and change it. However, if a form has been signed, and you attempt to edit the form, the signatures will automatically be removed. This prevents data being changed after someone has signed a form.
  • New Features This Week

    March 20th, 2010

We released several new features this week including:

  • Multiline text entries: you can now enter multiple rows of text in one text box by hitting “enter” at the end of each line
  • Horizontal Digital Signature: the digital signature is now oriented horizontally to better fit in the spaces provided for signatures on forms.
  • Icons such as check marks can now be inserted into the form.
  • The time each form was filled out is now shown with the date.
  • There have also been a lot of improvements to the look and feel of the site.

All of these features were put in based on user suggestions, so let us know if there is a feature you would like to see.
  • Insert your Signature Image

    January 29th, 2010

We are proud to announce a new feature to insert images into your forms.

Many people will find it useful to insert an image of your signature. I’ve noticed a lot of people do this now if they happen to get the document in Microsoft Word. However, now you can also do it easily with any PDF form.

Using of this feature does require free registration but all you have to do is choose your userid and password.
